How do I know the Bible is true?
Truth is extremely important for finding meaning in life for it is truth that sets one free. At times one must search for truth because there are many different voices on any subject and all are not right. It is important that we find the true God and not one that is the easy answer, or how you were raised, or just someone's opinion.
There many different ways to prove if what is being taught is true or false.
1. Is it in agreement with known facts?
2. Were there eye witnesses to the what writer is saying?
3. Are the writings in agreement with science and archeological history?
4. Have the prophecies come true?

I hesitate to call the Bible a book because it is a collection of writings like no other. It is much more than a book, it is the Word of God to mankind.
If one believes there is a God ( See: Is there a God ?) and He created man with a soul (See: Are there spirit beings?) it would stand to reason that He would reveal Himself to mankind. The Bible is one of the ways He reveals Himself. The Bible states in Hebrews 1:1&2 that God has spoken to us through His Son. The Bible is the story of Christ from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21. Search the following sources and see if you don't come to know the Bible is God breathed. For one to have meaning and purpose in life it must be based on truth and the Bible is God's truth to mankind. Search and see if the Bible is true.
